Friends would say of Hope that she never met a stranger she didn’t like. After the sale of the house, Tom (Power of Attorney) and his siblings thought it best to move Hope from Minnesota to Atlanta so he could oversee Hope's medical and legal affairs.
Moving to an assisted living community closer to Tom and his family created unanticipated challenges: a new personal care physician, dentist, pharmacy, as well as unfamiliar people, food, surroundings and climate—and to boot, a new beautician.
Transitioning to a new home is a big change and not easy for anyone. For seniors, who often leave a lifetime of memories behind, it can be a particularly challenging event. Pulling on Hope's deep faith, time, and the tenderness of staff and other providers, Hope and her family were able to make the transition.
